Is my Deathadder Essential fake/counterfeit

It should be clear by the topic that I have my suspicions. I say so because i purchased a DA Essential recently by Amazon.in and the outer box and mouse shell looks good the cable received is weird . By weird i mean it is not braided , it is a simple rubber wire , So this raises a few questions - 1. Is DA Essential still under production, If yes are they cutting cost over the cable . 2. Is the support team from Acro Engineering lying about cable as they are the ones who said its a new batch imported on July 2021 ? 3. What should I do right now return /replace or use it ? What's more to it is for some it didn't connect to synapse 3 but in my case serial number is legit and Synapse 3 successfully detects it (what if only outer shell is original)
