Is the Blade 14 battery life a joke? | Razer Insider

Hi All, I can see there’s a few threads on this topic, but I’d appreciate some assistance. I tried emailing customer support, but their ‘support flow wizard’ must have an issue as I keep going in circles and it keeps restarting the ‘enter serial number’.

Anyway…

I bought a brand new Razer 14 2022 edition from BestBuy in San Fran 4 days ago on my way to the airport. I flew back to the UK and live here (in the UK). The Blade 14 advertises up to 10 hours of life playing games. Now, i didn’t believe that for a second - but I was hopeful it would be impressive.

Well..

it’s not. If I play a game such as Civ6 on the lowest graphics settings on battery, I get about 90 minutes battery life. If I play a game like Baldurs Gate 3 on medium graphics settings (on the integrated card - not the dedicated GPU) - I get about 40 minutes battery life.

I have done *all* of the steps laid out in the support pages about conserving battery short of simply turning off my screen (which of course is pointless). Everything is up to date (including BIOS). There’s no other software installed other than what came with the machine at base + Civ6 and Baldurgs Gate. 

Am I experiencing a fault? or is this really how bad the battery is on the Blade 14?
