Issue with Barracuda X dongle disconnecting

I’ve got a Razer Barracuda X headset and its USB dongle, and it’s driving me crazy. On my HP 844C, the dongle shows up in Windows, but as soon as I play any sound or turn the headset on, the dongle disconnects for a second and then comes back - and there’s no audio.

I’ve tried pretty much everything:

  • Reset Windows completely

  • Uninstalled/reinstalled all USB controllers

  • Disabled USB power saving / selective suspend

  • Removed Razer Synapse and drivers, reinstalled clean

  • Tested the dongle on another PC - works perfectly there

So it’s not the dongle or the headset, it’s something with this HP PC. Anyone else run into this? Any workarounds?

Also worth noting: I’ve had this headset for a few years with no issues at all, and now suddenly it just won’t work anymore.
