I am reaching out to see if anyone has found a solution for a critical issue with the Razer Naga Left-Handed Edition (Model RZ01-0341).
Following a recent firmware/Synapse update, the mouse completely stopped functioning. When plugged into a PC, it is no longer recognized as a pointing device, but instead mounts as a drive named "CRP DISABLD". From what I understand, this indicates that the onboard microcontroller's firmware became corrupted during the update, putting the mouse into bootloader mode.
I purchased this premium mouse in February 2023. Since it is now outside the official warranty window, I am not requesting a hardware replacement or an RMA. However, because this brick was caused directly by the official software update process rather than physical wear and tear, it would be a shame to discard a perfectly fine piece of hardware.
Therefore, I would appreciate it if this ticket could be escalated to Level 2 Technical Support if necessary, to assist with the following:
- Could Razer Support (or anyone in the community) provide the correct firmware.bin recovery file for the RZ01-0341 left-handed model? I am fully capable of flashing the file onto the CRP DISABLD drive myself.
- Alternatively, is there an official standalone firmware updater tool available to re-flash the onboard memory?
- If the file cannot be shared publicly, could a technician provide the raw binary payload privately to help me restore my device?
I really love using the Left-Handed Naga, and as a loyal customer, I hope we can find a software solution to bring this device back to life. Any assistance or guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
