Keyboard controls not coming up on my i-MAC

I preset my keyboard layout functions and colors a while ago. Every time my iMac updated automatically all the preset things came back up. I just installed the newest version of i-MAC called BIG SUR. This time it did not update in so it is going through its automatic color changes. I can't seem to get the control board to come back up on my iMac so I can make the correction and choose my previous setting. Can anyone help me?

    Please note that Synapse 2.0 for mac only supports OS versions 10.14 and earlier. The app will not work on Catalina and onwards.
