Keyboard do not let monitor fall asleep | Razer Insider

I have Synapse Beta and Cynosa Chroma.

My monitor won’t fall asleep - it turns off and immediately on. If I unplug my Cynosa - magic! - the monitor can fall asleep.

For a long time Synapse 3 caused similar issue, eventually they fixed it (finally, I thought!), but at the same time the program stopped seing my keyboard. So I tried the new Synapse beta - this time the keyboard is always there but now my monitor always stays awake - it turns off for 3 seconds and then wakes up. Tried disabling “AMD high definition audio device” and “HID-compliant consumer control device” in device manager as was advised on some forums - it didn’t help.

I also have Mouse Dock Pro and Basilisk v3 Pro - if I unplug the keyboard and leave these devices connected, they do not wake the monitor up, so it is exactly keyboard problem.

Quick googling showed that lots of users have been facing this issue for years. One of them said 2 years ago in an old thread here in support forum that this bug had been alive for 6 years by that moment!

So here I am again with the same question - can I do something to fix this on my side? Perhaps check for some conflicts with other software (which exactly)? Or perhaps Razer wants to finally fix it after all these years?

Hi,

I also opened the same thread before for synapse v4 beta, I was sending logs and everything about my pc to tech support. Apparently they found what the problem was, but they didn't say when they would release the fix with an update. I rather think that they wrote it just to close the case because they don't know what the problem is.

I uninstalled synapse and installed OpenRGB - I have basic lighting (I can adjust the color - I don't have various lighting modes) but that's better than having the monitor on all day......
