Keyboard is not working

My laptop has a issue with the keyboard not working at all sometimes. I've tried everything I can to fix it but nothing has worked. I can't even enter my pin to get in. Another thing is the lighting broke a while ago so now it doesn't light up. If there's any way to get the keys to work again and not suddenly stop the next few minutes it would help. I'm considering getting a new laptop since mine is almost unusable at this point
