Keyboard letters not typing but numbers are

Trying to log into my PC my keyboard can type only numbers into the password box. It is acknowledging that letters are being pressed because it changes screen when at the sxreensaver but I can't seem to type letters in. I have tried the "caps lock + escape", "escape + caps lock + space" and "escape + m5" reset techniques and still nothing is working. Any help would be appreciated

Does it behave the same even without Synapse running in the background? Also, please ensure that your keyboard is not on Gaming mode. But if the issue remains apparent, PM me the serial number of your keyboard. I can use it to verify its model and find a way to sort this out. *Thread locked to curb the conversation to PMs.
