This problem has started to appear only recently. When I turn on my PC, everything is fine till the moment Razer Synapse opens. When its running in the background, the lighting on my keyboard (Ornata Chroma 3) start to flicker very violently. Luckily I am not epileptic, beacuse If i was, who knows, I might have had an attack already. I’ve found a solution to this problem, which is to just Exit the Synapse app, which fixes the lighting, bringin it back to the setting that i chose. Im not sure what problem in Synapse forces this but I hope for a fix, or a possible explanation to the error.
To clear up, the flickering is random, my original keyboard effect is a rainbow wave, slowly passing through the keys, but once Synapse opens, the keys start flickering very rapidly, in random colors, but in a sort of pattern, going in horizontal lines. Maybe this helps with some insights.
Hi timiruc,
I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing with your Razer keyboard having flickering lighting effects. This problem can be caused by software issues. To fix the intermittent flickering of lighting effects on your device, please try to perform a clean re-installation of Razer Synapse here. If the steps don’t help, PM me your keyboard serial number so I can verify its model and check for available firmware updates. All the best!
