Kitty Kraken headphones don't work | Razer Insider

My Kitty Kraken headphones are no longer working.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the software because it was recommended however it keeps stating the “USB is not recognized.”  however it has not solved the issue.  This was a pervious issue with the first pair I bought and those had to be replaced within  a month.  Is there any way to fix this? or do I need to replace them every two years seeing as this is a common issue.
