Kiyo no longer to adjust zoom, pan, or tilt after upgrading to firmware v2.3.2_r2 | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Just received Razer Kiyo as a gift.
Initially plugged-in and worked fine with initial trials.  The Kiyo showed up as expected in the Synapse software. I went into its settings and under “Advanced Settings”, Camera Control tab, I was able to adjust the Zoom, Pan, and Tilt.

I then upgraded to the latest Kiyo firmware v2.3.2_r2 and am now no longer able to adjust the Zoom, Pan, and Tilt.  The options are still available (meaning, they are not greyed out), they can be adjusted, but they no longer appear to have any affect as they don’t update the Preview video.

What is the solution to enable the Zoom capability? I want to adjust the zoom on the camera to exclude items behind me and am strongly considering other webcam options if this is not able to be resolved. (Again, was working, upgraded firmware and zoom capability is no longer working).

Thanks!

Bump.
Any insight or suggestions for resolution on this issue?

I just purchased the Kiyo and have exactly the same problem. When Kiyo arrived I could change zoom/tilt in advanced settings in Synapse but after firmware upgrade these two settings stopped working!!!

It seems that upgrading to the latest Razer Kiyo firmware version 2.3.2_r2 has caused an issue with adjusting the Zoom, Pan, and Tilt settings. Although the options are not greyed out and can be adjusted, they no longer seem to affect the Preview video. This discrepancy may be a result of the firmware update.

Is there an update on this? Need this, don’t want to have to return the webcam.

Hey @mbiker and @funkytwig ,

I had some luck getting the Windows zoom capability to again be accessible by doing the following:

  1. Using Razer’s Device Detection Troubleshoot Tool to remove all instances of Razer Drivers.
  2. Installing the Razer Synapse Beta (which seems to be a completely new version of the Synapse software).

Hope this helps you!
