Kiyo Pro Ultra not showing in Synapse but working everybwhere else | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Hi all,

I just got my Kiyo Pro Ultra yesterday and I can’t get it to show in synapse to change any settings. It recognises as a device but when I click in to it, I just get the buffering symbol and it never loads the preview or allow me to change any settings. I’ve ensured it is not open anywhere else, have tried fresh installs of synapse, deleted drivers, tried multiple usb ports but just can’t get it to work.

it does however work if I add it as a source to OBS, works on Teams and shows as the windows camera.

any advise would be much appreciated.

Tried clean reinstall?

Uninstall Synapse
Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
Then restart your PC
After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

Thank you for your reply. I haven’t tried it using that software so will give it a go. Should I leave the Kiyo plugged in or unplug it and only plug it in once the new synapse is installed?

Just tried and still the same issue unfortunately :-(

Hm… that’s strange.

@Razer.Zionzedd@Razer.Speedcr0ss - could you look at this. Seems to be some Synapse 3 bug?

Thanks for your help @FiszPL much appreciated.

Just as an update, I tried on my laptop and it worked right away.

I then did a number of troubleshooting steps on my PC consisting of

Run DISM and SFC
1. Open Command Prompt
2. Type: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
3. Wait for it to finish
4. Type: sfc /scannow
Wait for it to finish

Run CHKDSK
1. Open Command Prompt
2. Type: chkdsk /f /r

Delete TEMP folders
1. Open Run by right-clicking Start and choosing it from the menu.
2. Type %temp% in the Run window and click OK.
3. When in File Explorer in the TEMP folder, select all files by pressing Ctrl + A keys.
4. Click Delete.

Razer Driver Cleanup Tool
Uninstall Synapse 3
If possible, unplug all Razer devices
Reboot the system
Download the Razer Driver Clean Up Tool: https://rzr.to/7c7Za
Unzip and run the CleanupRazerDrivers.exe as Administrator
The window will close on its own. When it does, reboot the system again
Download a new installer and install Synapse 3: https://www.razer.com/synapse-3
Plug in Razer devices
Update Synapse 3 as needed and reboot system as update requirement

Unfortunately, it is still not working.

I don’t get this. Most expensive webcam in the world. No mac drivers. Doesn’t work with PC. I just bought a brand-new device and this is how a flagship works? This is my third razer device, and second that has done this. Guys seriously?
