Kraken 4X sound wheel / volume issues

So I bought the Razer Kraken 4X headset last month. It worked after I installed Synapse. Recently however the sound wheel stopped working. Changing the volume in the Windows Sound Mixer doesn't help, neither does changing the volume in Synapse.  I've reinstalled Synapse, manually removed the Windows driver for it, but nothing seems to help. I even got forced into making a Razer account, but I can't seem to contact customer support regardless. The volume is stuck now.

How do I make the headset work like it is supposed to?  It shouldn't be THIS hard to change the volume right?? It is getting quite frustrating at this point.

Hi idontwantarazeraccount12,

I understand you’re having problem with your Razer Kraken V4 X’s sound wheel. To isolate the issue, please do the steps below:
1. Ensure that the headset is securely connected to your device. If it's a wired headset, check the cable for any visible damage.
2. Make sure to Update Drivers:
a. Go to the Device Manager on your computer.
b. Locate the audio device associated with your headset.
c. Right-click and select "Update Driver."

3. Update the firmware on your headset.
4. Ensure that your headset is set as the default playback device.
a Go to "Sound Settings" in Windows.
b. Set the Razer Kraken V4 X as the default playback device.
c. Adjust the volume through the sound settings directly.

5. If possible, plug your headset into a different USB port or try it on another device to see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it might be a hardware-related problem. You can PM me your headset’s serial number and a copy of your invoice for warranty validation.
