Hi.
I bought a Kraken wired headset with the 3.5mm jack through Amazon. I'm trying to get it set up to use. Plugging it in to the jack on my laptop and choosing "headset" allows the audio to play when testing through the Sound menu in the Windows settings menu but the microphone doesn't work.
Unfortunately, I tossed out the box it came in if there would be any info from that that I would need to get it working.
I have Surround Sound 7.1 and Synapse installed.

I have since tried the headset on my daughter's laptop, and the mic barely registers on her laptop....even turning up the volume on the headset to max.
