Hello! I've got a Kraken Tournament Edition that's still only a few months old, but the microphone has recently stopped working on the audio controller. I went on vacation for two weeks, only to return to the microphone not work when plugged into the audio controller, despite the fact that not only was it not in use for two weeks, it also worked on the very day that I left, as I used it to record a video with it working fine. It doesn't even detect any input when I test it in the settings. I've also ensured that the mic itself is still functional, and it works when plugged into my computer's microphone jack and my cell phone and laptop, but not into the audio controller. To make matters worse, I can't even find another audio controller available for sale, so I'm really hoping I can get some help, as plugging the headset into my mic jack prevents me from using the headset. I'm also not about to buy a new headset since this one is still fairly new, yet somehow managed to stop working when it wasn't even in use.
Here are the various methods I've used to attempt to fix the issue:
- Rolled-back drivers
- Updated drivers
- Cleared cache
- Repaired Synapse
- Updated Synapse
- Reset Synapse options to factory default
- Uninstalled Synapse
- Reinstalled Synapse
- Uninstalled and Reinstalled audio drivers
- Cleaned physical audio jack thoroughly
- Cleaned mic thoroughly
- Cleaned USB thoroughly
- Installed 3rd party software
- Changed audio settings
- Modified Windows audio settings
- Reinstalled all audio software
- Tested on various applications.
None of these have fixed the problem, leading me to believe that somehow, despite not being used for two weeks, the audio jack in the controller has malfunctioned. However, I'm really hoping it's a software issue and that someone can help me fix it, or if it is physical, point me in the direction of a replacement audio controller without buying an entirely new headset. Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I had the same problem a few hours ago. I did the same thing as you, but it did not help me. It is surprising that the microphone does not work if it is connected via the audio controller. For a while I decided to buy myself an adapter with 4- pin 3.5 mm jack - 3-pin 3.5 mm jack x2 until I find a solution to this problem. And yet, if you connect other headphones, the microphone from them will work.

@Enclave_General You pretty much did all that you can. The only thing left to do is to try to update the firmware of the headset. PM me the serial number of your headset so I can check for possible fixes.
