Kraken V2 7.1 is very loud

Hello! My Kraken v2 7.1 headset has suddenly become very loud. I'm not sure what caused this as both Windows and Synapse have had recent updates. Until last night I could listen comfortably around a volume setting of 12, but now anything higher than 4 is intolerable. I've tried the Equalizer APO app to try and correct for it, but it makes the volume uneven (fluctuates between perfect and very loud); I can tinker with that app some more and see if it smooths things out, but I'd rather get to the root of the problem. Any ideas?
