Kraken V3 Pro Mic Audio Poor Quality When Wireless

Hiya fellas. I am having microphone issues when my headset is in wireless mode. It makes me sound very distant, and the quality is very poor. When I plug the audio cable directly into the pc/headset the quality is much better and no issues at all. I bought this headset because of its wireless capabilities and like the sound quality very much but the lack of mic quality is really bugging me. Is there any way I can fix this, or should I just go and return the headset for another?

@TS: You’re on point. I have the same concern, the mic sounds REALLLY bad and muffled when using wirelessly, but while plugged wired, (using my motherboard’s drivers) it sounds great.

IMO: This is a driver issue that razer needs to fix on their wireless module driver. It’s using outdated 2.4g codecs for Mic “INPUT”, while the audio sounds amazing with the THX drivers, the wireless input sounds bad.

Please pay attention to this, Razer. This is a major design flaw that can be fixed by a software driver.

Hey @OldHeliotropeeggfast183,

Please bear with me for a bit. Can you uninstall your headset drivers by following the steps below? Please also send me a PM with the serial number so I can verify it in our system and look for troubleshooting steps that might address the mic audio issue.

  1. Open the "Device Manager".
  2. Expand "Audio inputs and outputs".
  3. Right-click the headset and select "Uninstall device".
  4. Restart the computer to fully remove the drivers. They will automatically reinstall upon restart.
