kraken v4, mic problems

same exact problem here, and blowing into where to mic goes had it working like brand new (even though ive had the headset for less then a week)

Bit of a late reply buti have the same issue. So i opened mine up to see why. It seems that when pushing the mic back in the rubber tube around the mic arm causes friction between it and the headphone case. Causing it to be impossible or near impossible to get back it. As when I manually retract it using the wheel its attached to, it doesn't cause this friction. So it seems like its a design flaws that razer somehow missed when going through testing of this product.

had the same issue twice first had it for a week and then it stopped retracting second time had it for 2 weeks and it stopped retracting. ended up returning them and going back to the kraken v3 pro until they fix the issues with the v4 and maybe they will upgrade the drivers in the kraken v4 pro because the sound difference wasnt that big so kind of a waste of money and not worth the 250 dollar or so upgrade and part of me thinks they put more money into the oled hub than the actual headset itself

Still the same problem, should write it as a quality comment on online storefronts at this point tbh if they still haven’t fixed it…

The air blowing though actually smooths the problem out pretty much entirely for me though, Praise Lord_Touch_Me for the tip, also, nice name, Overlord approves.

Omg… I don't know what possessed you to blow into the darkness but I'm sure glad you did, and even more so that you shared this with us. While not a permanent fix, it's 100% better than having it prolapsing.

I just had the same problem. I was trying to push the mic back in and it stopped about 1.5 in from going in all the way. I came onto this website and read about blowing into the mic then realized there is no way to blow behind the mic hole. I started to play with it a little more and twisted it around and it went back in nomally. i think the mic gets twisted and that makes it hard for it to fit back in through the hole. I hope this helps.

I have no idea how or why but for some reason the blowing trick actually works. I literally only had this Kraken V4 pro for about 2 weeks and I almost had a heart attack thinking I broke the mic or smthn. Many thanks guys 🙏🏻
