Kraken x headset mic suddenly went quiet? How do I return it to normal?

I was using my karken x headset mic and I love it, but it suddenly went really quiet. I know it's still working but it's just super quiet. Is there a way to get it back to how it sounded? I've tried the windows settings and amped the mic up but when I do it get's really noisy in the background which didn't happen before.
