Kraken X Mic not being detected by windows?

Ok so my new Kraken X just arrived today, and the headset + 7.1 surround works well, the only problem that I have is the microphone. When I plug the headset in with the single jack at the front panel audio port, a realtek audio comes up asking me what I plugged in. If I select "headphone" the headset works well but the microphone doesn't work. If I plug in with rear panel and the splitter, realtek comes up again asking me what I plugged in only once, although I plugged in both headset and microphone. Here I select headset again, and my microphone doesn't work (if I select Mic In instead of headset nothing works, and the microphone picks up desktop audio and not my voice).



And now, my realtek says that I have Mic + Headset plugged into both front and rear panel audio jacks. How is this possible?



I don't have razer Synapse installed, as last time i tried installing it it didn't even detect the headset.

same issue... seems to be quite often. I have razer kraken green and synapse 2/3 isnt detecting anything. Mic doesnt work. same with the realtek notifications with headset etc. nothing seems to work, but the 7.1 surround works tho. Connecting the headset without the splitter in the top front Plug lets realtek detect a headset but still the mic doesnt work. If i use the splitter and use the green and red back Plugs the mic doesnt work either. Im gonna try resetting the Realtek drivers and reinstalling them. Would appreciate every comment since it seems to be a common error.
I had a similar issue with mine, however the solution for me was to set the mode to headset and windows detected the microphone. This ended up being caused by MaxxAudioPro when I set my headset to "Headphones" instead of "Headset". This may not apply to you but I hope it may help.
I have a similar issue, my Razer Kraken works with the PC, Windows detect it, but after I installed Razer app 7.1 Surround Sound it doesn't detect the Headset, yes I can use them, I can listen and talk but the app is not working, I already restart the PC, uninstall, reinstall, restart, any combination and nothing, the app is still not detecting the Razer headset, it does detects my speaker and the old headset but no the brand new razer. So sad, nothing worked for me
