Lag spikes when using Cortex
So a few months ago I got myself a new gaming laptop from ASUS. And recently I wanted to download Cortex and using it again (I used to use it way back on a crappy PC). And whenever I use the game boost, hop onto CS GO and star playing I get lag spikes all the time. And it only happens when I'm using Cortex. If I turn off the game boost and close Cortex everything works fine. Didn't have this problem before so I wonder what's is going on? Why the lag spikes when using Cortex?

Hi there! Have you tried reinstalling Cortex? If you haven't yet, please do and let me know how it goes.
Done it. Still happening. When playing normally I get like 80ms of ping.But whenever I use cortex it can start at 100ms then go down to 80-90 but it suddenly goes up to 300-400 for a moment. Can confirm it's not an internet issue. The moment I close Cortex my ping goes back to 70-80 and it stays there.
