Laptop display begins flickering randomly when moving mouse, then shuts off | Razer Insider

Hello alll, I wanted to report an issue I am having with my razorblade 17(2020), This issue occurs quite random and to the best of my ability I have been able to narrow down that this occurs whether the laptop is plugged in, or unplugged. And does not happen while any specific program is running.

At random moments sometimes the screen will flicker on its own, and other times it will only begin to flicker while im moving the mouse. It tends to lead to the display turning off, and the LED keyboard still staying on as you will see in the video below I was able to take. After waiting a few seconds it never seems like the laptop will turn on, on its own so I press the physical power button and it goes to sleep. Pressing it again will turn the laptop on and i will be brought to the login screen like normal, and it will most often not happen again. Most recently however after going through that process I had the same issue occur an additional 3 times, im not sure at all whats causing this, Temperatures seem normal as I usually have it ontop of a cooling pad, so im not sure how to reproduce the issue.

Any help is appreciated....

Apologies for the background noise

The fastest way is to check if it's software issue (or not) is by booting some live linux from pendrive (like Ubuntu or Linux Mint).

It can be some driver issue, but also it can be some problem with display cable.

Be sure, that your smartphone is away from your laptop, as it can do some interference with the display too.

Have you also tried the steps here? If you're still experiencing the same issue, it's highly likely a hardware problem. Please PM me the serial number so I can start a case and forward it to the RMA Team for a repair request.
