Laptop flashing green but it isn’t starting on

Basically what the title says, I tried the following: - holding the power button for a few minutes several times - at one point battery was dead after leaving it on, so I charged it but proceeded to save the same problem - moving my mousepad in hopes of something to happen Is there any other solutions to help with this problem? thanks in advance!
