Laptop microphone gets used when updating driver

Hi Ihave a razer headset (blackshark v2 x)  with only 1 ports, connected into a laptop with only 1 port, but when i update my driver to get the headset option from sound settings not the speaker my headset microphone just vanishes and my laptop microphone starts to get used but in the recording settings inside sound settings there is only 1 microphone as realtek r audio so i cant just change it. The reason i want the headset option is for bass boost option in windows settings. The only fix i know is to revert the driver to speaker then the headset option disappears but the microphone works. How could i fix this? thx for answers
