LB button registered as being pressed infinitely

This is not the first time this has happened. Last month I was able to fix this issue by doing a firmware update, now it’s back to registering the LB button being held down continually when I’m not even touching the controller. Here’s the interesting thing, this only registers if I touch the thumbsticks or press any other button on the controller then boom, it’s lit up. I tracked this via Steam and the Game Controllers setting window on my PC. The number 5 button on the Controller window lights right up. This issues is also occurring on our Xbox as well. As soon as any other key on the remote is pressed, the controller acts like LB instantly being pressed and held. This is a fairly new controller, but the warranty went out this last February (typical).  I feel like this is a software issue and nothing to physically to do with the controller because it’s in pristine condition. I’ve bought a ton of razer stuff over the years, and this is the first issue I’ve encounter and it’s very frustrating. I want to reset the controller back to default settings but I’m unable to find anything online and the only thing I found was the razer app for windows and it will not let me restore anything but I think it’s just for profiles and not for the software of the device.
