Left CTRL and Shift stopped working

Hi

 

I have a razer blackwidow chroma and the left shift and ctrl randomly both stopped working at the same time when I turned my PC on, but was both working before I turned it off.

 

I had Razer Synapse 4 and have re-installed and installed Razer Synapse 3, neither which solved the issue. They also dont work when plugging into another PC. I have removed the keys and cleaned them too, but it seems odd for them both to stop at the same time.

I’m here to help! I understand that the left Shift and Ctrl keys on your Razer BlackWidow Chroma stopped working simultaneously after a PC restart. Have you checked for any visible damage or loose connections inside the keyboard? To further isolate the problem, please do the instructions below on how to hard reset or exit Demo Mode on your Razer BlackWidow Chroma.  

  1. Unplug the keyboard.
  2. Press and hold "Escape" and "Macro 5" or “M5” keys.
  3. Plug the keyboard into a USB port.
  4. Release all keys.
