Lighting won't turn off when display is off

Hello. I am using DeathAdder and Synapse 3, I turned on the option "Switch of lighting when display is off", but when the display turns off or when I put my computer in sleep mode the lighting doesn't switch off but instead switches to the 'spectrum cycling' effect. I have also turned on the option "Switch of lighting when idle for 1 minute", and it does work, however, when the display turns off (after 15 minutes of being idle) , the lighting switches to the 'spectrum cycling' effect. Any advice is appreciated.
