"Low battery" alarm when headset is fully charged (Barracuda X)

Hello everyone,

I recently got a Razer Barracuda X headset. I used it for a full week before hearing the “low battery” signal, which is when I charged the headset for a few hours until the little light went from pulsing red to static green.

However when I start my headset after charging it, the light is green static, but I still hear the notification “low battery”, which is very annoying. I don’t see a way to check actual battery %. Why is the signal for low battery still playing even though the headset is fully charged?

Thank you for any insight.

I guess if the issue persists, you may consider performing a factory reset on your headset. Keep in mind that this will erase any customized settings, so make sure to back up any important configurations if needed.

I’ve had the headset for 10 days and did not change any settings, I didn’t even know you could do that (except install the Surround 7.1 app). How would you reset the headset please? No idea where to start.

Thank you

Hello Amarine1701,

Sorry to hear about your Razer Barracuda X having a battery issue. I recommend performing a battery calibration on your Razer headset. It might help to drain the battery to 0% and then let it recharge to 100%. After that, you can observe if the same issue persists. If you need additional assistance, please PM me so I can verify your device serial number and assist you accordingly. Have a great day!
