When I first got the keyboard for Christmas in 2022, the keyboard worked perfectly fine with the Razer Synapse software, as it should since I had already paid £100+ for this on Amazon. However after about a month or so I began to notice that sometimes the RGB that I had set up switched to default settings randomly during games. I have a feeling this may be to do with the fact I mostly play fullscreen but I’m unsure. In addition, the keyboard has also started randomly acting up whenever I play a game like Fortnite, where as soon as I load into a game the keyboard has a massive 3-5 second delay on every single keystroke, even the Esc key! I have no idea why it’s doing this and I’m not sure if it’s because I have damaged it or not as there is no clear way of telling, the only things it could be is that the USB cable is faulty or the software needs re-installing, in which I don’t want to try unless absolutely necessary because it looks like a complete headache if I’m being honest. Just so you’re aware, I’ve:

Plugged the keyboard into the motherboard directly

I have two other devices such as the blackshard v2 pro headset and the viper mini mouse, both have synced rgb

updated firmware for the keyboard

I have not spilled anything on it (hopefully)

A recurring and temporary fix I’ve found to the delay issue is by resetting the PC entirely which only works for a couple hours before the delay returns back, which sounds stupid I know, which leads me to believe it’s the synapse software because of course the synapse software is only active when I turn the PC off. Finally, as a side note, I wanted to address a potential flaw with the keyboard, in which I discovered by mistake while using it. In the room it is in there is a large window with a set of blinds that direct sunlight straight onto the keycaps which trigger them to malfunction and open up programs and apps, such as Task Manager, whenever I press the Esc key once by itself, due to the fact that the keystrokes are triggered by a little red light inside. I found out when I closed the blinds, because the issue completely solved itself once I closed them and the keyboard wasn’t opening up random apps like before. However, this may be a complete misunderstanding as I myself am not sure whether this is me being dumb and it’s something else entirely.

If anyone is able to help me with this 3-5 second delay that appears frequently on games like Fortnite then please do so because I genuinely like using this keyboard and I really don’t want to have to return it, if I’m even eligible, as I think razer did a great job with the design and layout of the keyboard and it is definitely worth the amount you pay for, even if it is over £100…
