Mamba Wireless Charging Questions

Hi there! Thanks for posting your concern on our Support board. Please connect the mouse directly into your computer's USB port to get sufficient power. The mouse scroll wheel will blink in red twice in a repeated interval when the battery power is less than 5%. The lighting sequence will repeat until the battery is drained or the mouse is connected to a computer USB port. It will take up to 4 hours to fully charge the mouse. Also, the Razer Mamba Wireless should be turned off while in charging mode. Fully depleted batteries will not charge when the mouse is turned on.

So are you now confirming that the ONLY way to charge a Mamba Wireless mouse is through a usb port on my computer? The Mamba CANNOT or SHOULD NOT be charged using a usb wall charger like a cell phone uses?

Ideally, any USB device connected to a USB charger will charge. Razer suggested to plug it in your PC for power regulation purposes but not prohibiting anyone from using small chargers. Just ensure that the small charger will receive 5V and can draw a maximum of 1.8A to comply with the standard USB output. Also, avoid overcharging the mouse to omit possible device damage and any safety risk occurrences.

Thank you for the detailed reply. So then one final question. When the Mamba reaches 100% charge does it then automatically stop charging like cell phones and other USB charged devices? When you say "overcharging" that sounds like the Mamba cannot automatically stop charging when it reaches 100% That causes me great concern because I don't have to do that with my other USB charged devices. I would have to remember exactly what time I started charging the Mamba and keep an eye on my clock . :slightly_sad:

Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, we don't have an indicator in Razer Synapse showing the battery percentage. And yes, you need to put a timer while charging the mouse. Please take note of the following: a. The mouse scroll wheel will blink in red twice in a repeated interval when the battery power is less than 5%. b.
