Microphone Not Working

Hello, i recently bought a razer kraken x for myself because it was the cheapest headset with a microphone. Though, when i plug my headset with splitter into my pc i can hear audio but whenever i speak nothing goes through. Ive contacted the support multiple times to no avail. (Last time i contacted them was last week and they told me it was defective so i ordered this new one) Any ideas? help is appreciated
