Middle mouse button stops working - software issue

The middle button will stop working until i go in an reset the mouse in synapse. Started only recently doing this.

Problem is i can’t install synapse on my work pc. And even if i could, resetting my mouse every few hours isn’t viable.

The button works. its just bugging out.

 

any ideas?

Let me help you with this. Since the middle mouse button starts working again after you reset it in Razer Synapse, it does point to a possible software issue rather than a complete hardware failure. Please try the following, especially since you’re unable to install Razer Synapse on your work computer:

  1. Connect the mouse to a different computer without Razer Synapse installed.
  2. If the middle button still intermittently stops working there, it may indicate a hardware issue.
  3. If it works normally on another device, the issue is more likely related to your work PC’s environment.
