ml 1220 replacement

Hello, recently the cmos battery of my blade 2019 gave up and has to be replaced. The factory battery is an ml1220 (rechargeable - 3.0v 16mAh), does the laptop recharge this battery or can it be replace by a cr1220 non rechargeable battery (as they are easier to find) ?
