Mouse function on Razer Tartarus Pro not working

I tried to set the mouse buttons (middle button, left and right buttons) on my Razer Tartarus Pro. But it doesn't work. The Razer Tartarus Pro can only type the keyboard buttons that were last set to this button. I tried various methods that I could find online. Disabling the USB hub, changing the USB interface, updating Synapse, reinstalling Synapse. None of them worked. This makes me suspect that this product is defective. Is there a solution?

Yo! I was encountering exactly the same issues. After a bunch of troubleshooting I followed this video from Razer Support to fully uninstall Synapse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDFzcljkOsg

Then went  here to download a clean version of Synapse: https://www.razer.com/synapse-4

In doing this, I found out what my original problem likely was: When plugging in the Tartarus Pro for the first time, Windows goes out and installs an old version of Synapse (v3.x) in which most of the functions/bindings don’t seem to work, or partially work, or work intermittently.

Anyway, good luck and hope you can fix yours too!

Thank you very much for your reply! I think I may be interfered by the Razer Tartarus V2 software I used before. I had a lot of preset configurations when I used that device, and they were loaded again after I updated to Pro, including some macros, most of which can still be used. I don't want to completely reset my software, which would be very time-consuming. I found another way in macro, which is to re-record a separate mouse button macro, and, most importantly, delete all records in "Key Binds", so that the function of this mouse macro can be used. I hope this will be useful for players who need to set mouse buttons but don't want to completely reinstall. Of course, if you need to solve the problem completely, you still need to use your method. Thanks again.
