Mouse lag and audio buzz with Razer Synapse 3 installed | Razer Insider

Hello

I recently decided to purchase the Razer Deathadder Elite mouse and while I'm very happy with the ergonomics, the overall user satisfaction is less than satisfactory.

I'm experiencing two issues while using the Deathadder Elite with Synapse 3:

  • Mouse movements become erratic and laggy after a few minutes of use to the point that it becomes absolutely frustrating to use.

  • There is also a buzz in the audio every few seconds. It seems like the whole system freezes for a very short while and then the audio tries to play catch-up. This happens whether I'm watching videos or gaming. Again, it's annoying.

I've determined the problem to lie with Synapse 3 as once I uninstalled it, and rebooted my PC, both problems disappear. The mouse pointer moves smoothly and there are no buzzes in audio. This is a huge disappointment as I saw this as an upgrade to my previous mouse which served me very well for over 5 years with no such problems. While choosing my mouse, it was between a Razer or a Steelseries. Considering that both had pretty good reputations, I chose the Razer because it was supposed to have better ergonomics, something which I'm very satisfied with.

I could go on without Synapse, but then I lose functionality of the thumb buttons which I use regularly. Is there any solution to both problems mentioned above?

Regards.

Edit:

So, it's been 3 days since I posted this and there's been no response. What's interesting is I see posts that were posted later that have been addressed by support.

Anyway, the problem definitely lies with Synapse 3 as mentioned previously. So, I decided to install Synapse 2 and none of the problems mentioned have surfaced so far. I just found out that Synapse 3 is still in beta so that could be the reason.

Just thought I'd post this just in case anyone is facing the same issue.
Erratic mouse tracking and delay issues usually go away after reinstalling the device drivers. You can also use the surface calibration tool to improve tracking. But I am not too sure as to why the app would cause buzzing noises if you only have a Razer mouse plugged in. For now, please give this a try.

Thanks for your reply. But, I think I'll stick with Synapse 2 for now as it's not causing any issues and all that I want is available.

Thanks again.

I understand, don't hesitate to PM me if you ever need help. See you around!
Castbuzz: I have the exact same issue as you and I've tried everything. Nothing fixes it. It has to be a software issue. Calibrated to my new Sphex v2, and that worked for 10 minutes! Then the lag comes right back. Restart the PC, works great for 5-10 minutes, then the lag comes right back. It doesn't matter which polling rate I choose either.

Please PM me so I can help you further isolate the issue. I'd appreciate it if you can upload a short clip detailing your experience so I can get a better understanding of the severity of the problem.
