The solution, don't ever buy this brand, lack of support, I contact them several times, I bought the mice for my son, daughter and I, and the 3 of them after few months started acting like that, look for other brands, I bought a different brand and with better support and hardware wise better, razen it's just a brand not a quality.

Hm… that’s strange. If the scroll encoder is faulty you should get the replacement mouse, if it’s still on warranty.

For everyone with the scrolling problem. This video fixed it for me quick and easy. Take apart the mouse with a couple screws. Glue a part and it works as new.

Hope this helps out. I think this will work on most razer mouses.

Hopefully will also bring a smile to the angry folks in comment lol ;).

I had the same problem with my Razor Viper V3 Hyperspeed. Glued the shaft of the wheel and now it work perfectly!

Ran across this post when I had a similar problem, and I thought I’d share a solution that I eventually found a Reddit post.  It as surprisingly simple and actually worked for me (don’t know why, but maybe it is black magic just like the replies to the post suggest...)

Anyhow, the solution:

Get as close to the scroll wheel with your mouth as possible and blow as hard as you can into every nook around it. Compressed air didn't seem to work for me. I blew into my Viper v2 Pro pretty hard and after a couple breaths, this seemed to completely fix my issue. I am nearly 100% certain that there was no dust in there to begin with as my unit is pretty new which is why I'm convinced that this is black magic.

What the… Very odd…

SERIOUSLY! It just worked for me too

I have the common issue with scroll wheel. I generally hate to make a fuss about a problem, mostly because I just recently had to go through a long process with my headset to get a clearly factory faulty product replaced.

My mouse wheel keeps jumping up and down. I noticed it starting to happen and since I don’t use it to often I sort of just ignored it, I thought the mouse had just gotten dusty and I needed to open it up and clean it or something.

Since it is in pristine condition, I didn’t wanna bother taking it apart, taking the “low friction” slip pads off ect. It felt like something I could overcome or master, because at times it almost feels like it behaves like I want it to. So me being lazy I just left it and used, when possible, other things like scroll bars or pressing down the scroll wheel and scrolling that way.

However recently I’ve been running into more and more activities that REQUIRE the mouse-wheel. It has gotten to a point where it annoyed me and I started looking into it.
Haven read couple of posts on the forums I attempted to do a Return on Warranty through the page, but apparently my Warranty expired. It’s very sad, because the mouse is overall in perfect condition but this one issue is causing me great annoyance at this point.

Is there a solution for me or I am out of luck and should buy a new product?

That’s pretty sad, because this mouse other than that one issue is perfectly fine and best use I would have for this one is to give it to my elderly mom. Problem is that even she at 70 uses scroll wheel and will get so annoyed, most likely.

i had an issue where the Mouse scroll missed downscrolling sometimes.

i found out, that the Mousewheel encoder is not fixed in the case and moves a little bit back and forth.

So i placed a tiny piece of plastic to fix the encoder.
