Multiple Kiyo Pro Cameras | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Hi there, we’re a company developing a multi-camera setup. We’ve used other brands of USB cameras before and were impressed by the image quality of the Razer Kiyo Pro, however we have not been able to successfully extract video from more than one Razer Kiyo Pro camera at the same time.

We were able to install two of them and we can choose to run and extract video from one or the other, but not both at the same time. The second camera lights up and then shuts down with an error message. This is in windows, if that matters.

Can you please clarify if this is at all possible? We would like to not spend developer’s time on an impossible task. And if that is the case is there a time frame when this will be possible? It’s a shame that a good camera has such limiting firmware/drivers.

Thanks!

This is not possible since Razer Synapse 3.0 will not detect two or more devices with the same process ID (PID). This is the reason why the software does not detect both cameras or any peripherals with the same model.

It is baffling that we could have two Kiyo pro cameras whit the old drivers/synapse but that it is no longer available with the new Razer Synapse 3.0

Let's break what was working.Good job razer!

I was able to see both cameras for a time in OBS using synapse 3. So it may be still possible. But a further update or something else disabled this!  Only one Kiyo pro cam now.

Thx.

Is there a way to fix that? I use to be able to have 2 razer Kiyo running - now can only use one! Thanks

You should  be able to use both your cameras in OBS (my 2 kiyo pro work) but you won't be able to update or change parameters on one of them without disconnecting the other.

Ok, nice, so you saying I can use 2 Kiyo pro ultra’s in OBS for live streams, its just that if you want to change settings you have to switch them one by one?  I can live with that as long as I can get a feed from both of them in OBS that is good.

So you still have Razer Central/Synapse running so cameras are using the manual settings from app?

Mines are not ultras, only pro hd. I suppose it’s the same problem with the cameras ids in synapse and should work in obs like mines. I’m not a pro in any of this : My 2 cams work in obs but I cannot see both in synapse and can only update them seperatly (unplugging one).

you can probably change some cam settings in osb.

Ok, cool, but both your cameras under OBS keep there settings right? say you have them both set to manual zoom and low light setting. I just want to make sure both cameras are using the synapse settings

Hello everyone,
I'm using Kyio Pro Ultra and would like to do a multi-camera setup. It's impossible in Streamlabs to use them at the same time, which is a shame because it works with other brands.
Do you know if this problem will be solved soon?

Did you try it with just OBS, i was reading that in 2024 you want to be using OBS vs StreamLabs, its just as easy to use now and you get all the new features that stream labs does not have. I was also told that it works in OBS, you can multi camera the Kyio Pro, and they are basically the same as Kyio Pro Ultra. The only limitation was in order to change/set the settings from razer central you can only do one camera at a time, so if you are changing settings u need to unplug one while you apply new razer synapse settings.

I read that yes, thanks for the quick reply. I didn't know about OBS, I'll try that and post the result on the forum.

After downloading OBS and adding my two Kiyo Pro Ultra webcams to a scene, one of the cameras freezes when the other is working. Impossible to operate both simultaneously.
It's also impossible to run Synapse at the same time as the webcams.
This is really annoying, I hope this problem will be solved soon, otherwise I'll have to choose another brand and that's a shame, because the Kiyo cameras have very good image quality.

wow, ok, so then this is still an issue with current razer software, I was about to purchase a second Kiyo Pro Ultra for the same thing you want, dual camera setup, I’m happy with the camera quality and the simplicity of just having a usb connection but Razer has to sort out this issue fast because this should really not be an issue, there are a lot of dual camera streamers using OBS with no problems.

Impossible to operate both simultaneously.

It is normal to have only OBS or only synapse to work :  both cannot comunicate to the cameras at the same time. It was the same even whit the old synapse 2 when we where able to see our cameras correctly in synapse.

You should not need to open synapse to set the camera when using OBS.

Here both my camera works fine whit OBS.

And like me and  @Heavycap told before, you should be able to update or change parameters on one  kiyo at a time, unplugging the other, using synapse 3. Then use OSB.

Ok, Perfect, this is the confirmation I was waiting for, so you use synapse to set camera settings one camera at a time, like specifying manual focus instead of auto focus, following that you can kill synapse and just use OBS to feed in both cameras and they retain their synapse settings, correct?
