My blackshark V2 X's mic isn't working

Today I received in the mail my blackshark v2 X, the sound quality is very good, and I've already setup 7.1 surround sound, which is working perfectly. The microphone, however, seems to be picking up very few sounds, tapping on it emits sounds, as does blowing on it, but I can't get it to capture my voice. I've tried using multiple apps to hear my own voice, and have used multiple headphone jacks. I use the splitter, as my pc has multiple ports for headphones and microphones. My mic works perfectly on my cellhpone without the splitter.
