DA Essential is Synapse 3 enabled, so it won’t show in Synapse 2.0. Also Synapse 3 is not available on MacOS. You can try using 3rd party software instead: https://github.com/1kc/razer-macos

For the scroll jumping issue - you can try to spray some air inside to “clean” the dust from scroll encoder (it’s located at the left side of the scroll). If it’ll still not work - it may require manual cleaning, but it requires mouse disassembly (don’t do it if you still have valid warranty).

I tried what FiszPL said to spray some air, instead i did it with my mouth and now its working normally. I am really disappointment from razer most people have this issue with their mouse.. I wonder if we can  replace the mouse for a new one for free. Not that i care for the money but, if i buy a product i want the product to work as described if i have to spray air every 1 week for it to work i dont want it.

I just reset the password to my 10 year old Razer account to log in to thank you. I had been experiencing this issue for weeks and I’m shocked that blowing hard into the left side of the scroll fixed the issue. Very much appreciate it.

I did the “mouth spray” and it works but it comes back every 10 minutes or so. Is there a way to fix it permanently. Blowing in it frequently is starting to get annoying. :(

Only change scroll encoder (requires soldering).

I’ve been doing “mouth spray” now for about 3-4 months. Great, it works for a few hours and then… back to the same old problem. I need to check my warranty as this surely can’t be acceptable? A shame as otherwise I absolutely love this mouse.

I searched the credentials for this account just to say thanks cause now my scroll is working again

I didn’t think it would work, but actually mouth blowing worked fine ! (while anti dust spray didnt !)

THANKS !

omg, ive been so irritated by this jump scroll wheel for weeks - cant believe a short sharp breath of air could fix it.     glad its working now but annoyed the design is so poor to require this.

The “mouth spray” worked on and off for a few weeks, but now the mouse is worse than ever. Scroll wheel is virtually unusable. I try to scroll down a page of text and it’s jumping up more than it scrolls down! Blowing has absolutely no effect any more :(

Time to check my warranty...

autoPersimmoncamp338

Just created this razer account to post blowing method works :)
I was thinking about to buy other mouse but now I’m happy to stay with my current deathadder v2.

I logged in my account just to say THANKS for the miraculous fix of simply “blowing air with my mouth” on the left side of scrolling wheel to fix my jumping issue. Unbelievable! Thanks! :D

This Razor product was the only thing that I liked about my setup, but after its scroll went crazy I was hopeless and sad. I was going to see how to open it to see if I can fix it. Then I searched on google on saw this blowing thing, and IT WOOOORKED. Just created this to thank you because this blowing thing really worked. THANK U

Avocadosystemhead585

Sorry guys, but blowing it in only helps for a very short time. after two days, the problem was back with me. I now have a support ticket open, and hope that razor will offer a functional replacement.

Well I wouldn’t believe it until I tried blowing on the left side of the scroll wheel myself.

It’s fully working again (for now).
I’ve tried contact cleaner, a 100w air duster and rapidly spinning the wheel to clear it out.

Somehow just blowing on the left side works. I was getting ready to crack it open and give it a thorough cleaning.
