I'm currently using the Razer Blade Early 2023 (RTX 4080 + i9-13950HX), also known as the RZ09-0483. Yesterday afternoon, I had no problems; I turned on my computer, ran a Valorant ranked game, and then shut it down. When I turned it back on that evening, I noticed a significant slowdown. It would respond about 10 seconds after I pressed the Windows key. It would take up to five minutes for the computer to even boot up and get to the login screen.
When I checked Windows updates, I saw that the last checked time was the same as when I shut down the computer. I thought maybe it had unknowingly installed an update. Then I installed a repair version. I started the installation and checked my phone in the living room. When I returned, it had downloaded about 4-5 times in a row because it was so slow. It also took up an absurd 20GB of storage. I decided it would be best to do a complete clean install.
I flashed the bloatware-reduced Windows 11 version from this forum using "autounattended" and installed it from scratch. Currently, the only programs installed on my computer are:
Comet (AI-integrated browser)
Split-Wire Turkey (VPN)
Roblox
Minecraft (Feather Client)
I wasn't experiencing this problem initially, but when I opened the app or logged into Discord, Roblox, or Minecraft, performance dropped significantly. I used to get 1000 FPS on the Minecraft server, but now I barely see 100 FPS. I I am not even talking about the visible lag or the FPS drops.
The "System segments" and "System" processes constantly spike in games, meaning they peak and then drop momentarily. For example, in Minecraft, the GPU momentarily reaches 100%, then drops to 0-10%.
I searched the internet for solutions:
I scanned the SSD,
I checked the RAM with the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool,
I tried the ultimate performance mode commands in CMD and PowerShell,(Which did not even pop up in power plans)
Finally, I tried a command related to bg report in PowerShell.
None of these solved the problem.
Drivers I installed:
NVIDIA graphics card driver,
Intel and internet drivers,
Sound drivers,
Razer Synapse.
A computer-savvy friend suggested, "Maybe the problem is related to the GPU’s thermal paste. Take it to a computer repair shop to have it replaced."I did not feel too good withit cause it can void the warranty.So the easy sum up for this whole problem is ;
My pc was working normally after i turned it back on after some time it had visible lag, i checked the windows update it was shown the last windows update check was the time when my pc was turned off when i played valorant.I downloaded the “fixed” version. It did not help, i clean reinstalled windows 11 again but the lag was still here.My Gpu is 45-55 degrees Celcius in idle, but when i try to play minecraft even roblox it spikes up to 85 degreess and does not cool down even after the game is closed.(While im writing this only the browser is open and its 82 Degress GPU)I never downloaded any pirate in this laptop.I live in Türkiye/Turkey and i bought this laptop in february 14.It is the first time i ever encountered with this issue.
