my raiju v3 pro will connect to my ps5 but none of my buttons work unless i have second controller assist on

I’ve plugged it in via the cable and switched the buttons on the back to the relevant ones and it wouldn’t let me use the buttons they just wouldn’t work so I tried it with the dongle and got the same issue again the only way it works is if I change a setting the setting is second controller assist and have another controller on and connected to the ps5 not sure what to do

    The console is not somehow recognizing the Razer Raiju V3 Pro as the primary input device, likely due to an incorrect mode, a pairing issue, or outdated firmware.  Try the steps below and PM (https://insider.razer.com/inbox/overview) me your controller’s SN if issue persists,

     

    1. Ensure the mode switch on the back of the Razer Raiju V3 Pro is toggled to the "PS5" position, not the "PC" mode.
    2. Plug the HyperSpeed Wireless Dongle into a USB port on your PS5 console.
    3. Make sure the console is powered on.
    4. Press and hold the PS button on the controller until it powers on and connects automatically.
    5. Reset the Controller.
    6. Ensure your PS5 system software is up to date.
    7. Connect your controller to a PC and use the Razer Synapse 4 software to check for and install any available firmware updates.
    8. Check PS5 Controller Settings. If the Razer controller is listed as a secondary or "assist" controller, attempt to disconnect or "forget" the device, restart the console, and then try the standard connection procedure again.
    9. You can also use the Razer Controller App (https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6328/~/razer-controller-app-support-%26-faqs) or advanced settings for troubleshooting.

    I’ve done everything you said to do the actual controller doesn’t come up as a device in my Bluetooth accessories in the ps5 setting I’ve then connected it to my pc and looked for a update which it doesn’t have they only have updates for the tournament edition or the ultimate

    I’ve sorted it out I had custom controls on for my other controllers which I don’t remember even putting on
