My Razer headset producing distorted/robotic noise

They worked fine for several years, but now my blackshark v2 (model with usb + sound card) started producing distorted robotic noise after some time of being in use. Plugging them out an into the usb slot on PC temporarily negates the issue, but it comes back eventually. I tried plugging them into both front usb slots and the ones in the motherboard from behind the case. Same shit.

They were old so I kinda wanted to buy a spare set anyway, since I really love the way they sit on the head, so I actually just did that and got a second pair of new blackshark v2… but they also have exactly the same issue, so is this something with my pc, drivers, or what?

Please help if anyone knows how.

Hey there, @NoxEterna!

Try updating its firmware by following the steps here. If possible, try to test the device on a different PC. If the problem persists, PM me your headset’s serial number so I can verify its model and check for other workarounds.
