A couple of months ago the scroll wheel on my razer viper ultimate was still working, but now it doesn’t work at all. When I scroll up it doesn’t register or scrolls down and vice versa. It works every 1/100 times I use it (meaning it goes in the direction I want it to go in.). I want to get a fix or check but I don’t know when I bought it so I don’t know If im available for the waranty thing. If you guys could tell me how to fix the issue, how to find the date I bought it (I still have the box of the mouse, if that helps) or how to disassemble (last resort) and fix it that would be great.

If you’ve paid via card, then payment history may be your proof of purchase (at least they’re should honor it in EU countries).

If you don’t have warranty then you’ll just need to remove all 4 mouse skates/feets, there will be screw under each. Unscrew them, open shell, disconnect battery/RGB cable and you’ll have access to scroll / scroll encoder.

if possible could you link a video showcasing how to do it?

also for those wondering a temporary solution is just blowing into the mouse wheel as hard as you can without getting spit in.

There is 2-step fix (without opening the mouse) for common issues with scroll wheel. Step 2 is the main reason, learned from a reddit comment, linked below. It worked for me, might work for you as well (unless the mouse is very old, filthy, damaged from violent shaking/ smashing). [Step 1] Blow air (with your mouth) through the side gaps of the scroll wheel, but pressurized air would work too. [Step 2] Invert your mouse top down, put the scroll wheel on the mouse pad, drag it forward a few times fast, drag it backward a few times fast. [Done] Now try scrolling in both directions to check for any involuntary reverse direction rotation/ stutter/ rubber banding/ accidental rotation from a slight touch/ sensor getting triggered from mouse movement/ scrolling not working at all.
