My RBS 13" discharges while plugged in. | Razer Insider

Hi guys!

About 4 months ago I bought a Razer Blade Stealth 13 - Full HD 60Hz - GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q - Black, and since about a month ago I started noticing FPS drops while gaming (Valorant).... Right away I noticed that when I had that FPS drop the battery started draining while plugged in. It doesn't drop fast, but it eats up at least 30% per hour, which for a gamer computer is running poorly. Especially since when the battery starts to drop it seems to affect Synapse's OC, so the fps drops even more the lower the battery level is.... Below 50% it's almost unplayable.

On the other hand, I did the following tests:

1- Check the task manager: when I'm playing the CPU consumes 100%.

2- Using MSI AferB. to check the temperature of both CPU and GPU. The CPU never exceeded 80º and the GPU 65º.

3- I tried charging it with both Thunderbolt.

4- I unwrapped the GPU to see if it was a power consumption issue, but it was not.

Honestly from my knowledge (almost nothing) I was out of options to understand what's going on and it's very difficult to validate the warranty because I bought it in another country 😕.

I contacted Razer, but the support gave me very basic answers (I had already tried all of them) and none of them worked. In fact they asked me to do a factory reset and now the battery drains even faster. While playing you have no more than 40 mins of battery life.

IMPORTANT: This started happening about 20/30 days ago. Before it was working ok. That's why I tend to think it could be a software thing.

Has anyone had this problem with these models?

Thanks!
This is normal if you're using the 100W charger it came with when gaming, especially if OC is applied. Do note that charging typically slows down when a device is in use, even more so when internal temps are higher. With that said, I'd appreciate it if you can send me your ticket number. That way, I can review your previous interactions with our Support Team.
