My ROG laptop doesn't recognize my Kraken X mic

I can't seem to find any details about this online. Basically I plug my headset in to the only aux input on the laptop, so I don't need the splitter, but I sill tried through that and nothing happened. I get sound through my headset but my mic is still the built in mic and there are no options to switch to. What am I missing here? I use this headset on my iMac and it works perfectly fine there. Thanks in advance

Do you mind sharing screenshots of how the headset appears on the Device Manager? For now, I highly recommend that you reinstall the audio drivers on your laptop. If the headset works on another platform, then we're highly likely dealing with either a port or a driver issue.
