I preordered one of the new Tiger Lake laptops in May and have been looking forward to the release date. A couple of days ago I got an email saying now was the time to cancel if required. I didn’t cancel as I have been awaiting the laptop eagerly.



Two days ago I got a message telling me my order was “successfully cancelled”. I did not cancel it to my knowledge. I contacted support with my issue and have not yet had a reply. Has anyone else had this issue? Any idea what the cause of a “spontaneous” cancellation could be?



I’m anxious not to lose the preorder I waited so long for and I can’t order it anymore as stocks are gone……..
They probably cancelled it because there were so many orders that they ran out of the specific products before your order could be filled. This has happened to me on amazon a couple times.
It would be weird if so. I booked my order on May 17th - nearly a month ago. What is the point of a preorder if they cancel it a few days before shipping AFTER sending me a note less than a week ago telling me they are about to charge my card….?
