after 1~2 years of usage with no issues, woke up today and noticed that the mouse is auto-scrolling by itself (auto-scroll is when you hold down on the wheel and scroll by moving your mouse, as opposed to rolling the wheel). this only seems to affect certain windows such as the W11 start menu, it also prevents me from auto-scrolling normally elsewhere, it prevents saved login info or search suggestions from being selected, it was also going back a previous page on the browser when alt-tabbing.
launching synapse seems to fix it for a little while, then the issue re-emerges, then restarting synapse fixes it for a little while again. i’m wondering if its a hardware issue or if its a software issue because synapse did update a few times the past few days.
