Nari Pro Dongle Overheating | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello to whomever may read this,

My Razer Nari Ultimate's dongle been disconnecting from my computer, likely as a consequence of overheating. I speculate this is the case because in the past, when plugged in while the computer was under sustained high stress loads, it would at times fail due to overheating, as when I pulled it out every time it was hot to the touch. This was uncommon, and after less than 30 seconds it was cool enough to re-insert, so the issue was a minor annoyance, nothing more. Unfortunately, this exposure to heat seems to have compromised it, as when plugged in to a 70C computer it disconnects after a short period of time. The headset still functions properly in wired mode. It should be noted that this is not a case of the headset immediately disconnecting, as are a many of other cases with the dongle posted to these forums, which is oftentimes rectifiable with the recovery tool. The dongle does not stay connected long enough for it to finish recovering. There was one other instance of someone encountering this issue, linked here: /razer-nari-ultimate-constantly-disconnecting-and-reconnecting.87799/. Should anyone be able to assist, I would be most grateful.

All the best, and a pleasant day to you.
Hi IUseAnabolics,

Based on your description of the problem, it's highly likely that the wireless dongle is defective. PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and start a case for a replacement dongle request. Thanks!
