I was gifted a Razer Nari Ultimate from a friend - his old headset that he'd lost the dongle and cable to.
Since the Razer store is currently out of stock of the Razer Nari Ultimate dongles, I purchased a second-hand one and prepared to set it up with the Razer Nari Ultimate Pairing Utility.
The pairing utility failed to recognise the dongle at all, so I tried using the Dongle Recovery Tool for the dongle.
The recovery tool was successful, and I can see the dongle in the Pairing Utility. The problem is that when I try to connect the actual headset to my PC via a third-party microUSB cable, it completely fails to recognise the headset.
Do I need to purchase an original Razer microUSB cable in order to connect it to the pairing utility? It said that I need to use the "cable provided with the product", but I don't have access to that cable.
Is there somewhere I could purchase a new Razer cable for my Nari Ultimate?
Do I even need to do that? I would have thought it would work with any microUSB cable, can anyone confirm?
Edit: I don't think the issue is with the Nari Ultimate headset itself. It charges via any microUSB cable, and it plays audio via the 3.5mm jack with no issues.

No, but you can try different cable, also please verify if this cable is charge only cable or "normal" charge + data.
No dice. I've checked with 9 different cables now, just to be absolutely certain.
I was thinking that it could be a hardware problem on the headset itself - perhaps the connectors of the microUSB port had gotten damaged somehow ... but when I plug the headset in to my PC, device manager flashes and refreshes the list - it does that when detecting a new plug and play compliant device.
Unfortunately the pairing tool just doesn't seem to recognise it.
