Nari Ultimate won't pair

I just ordered a refurbished/renewed Nari Ultimate from Amazon. I was really excited, but when i tried to pair the dongle with the headset, the headset wouldn't turn blue even after me holding it for 10+ seconds. I looked online and found the Pairing Utility, but it failed every time. It kept on getting up to 45% paired, then restarted 4-5 times before saying "pairing failed". Dongle and Headset version 106. I'm also hearing some light static from the aux connection when I plug it in, but that's less of a problem. I did get it to work through the aux cord, but just the audio and not the mic. The dongle says the model is RC30-0267. Edit: I realized that the static only plays when the USB is connected. This could mean there is an issue with the Micro-USB connection on the headset, as I used 2 cables.
